Theres in my opinion a huuuuge oversight in the missing functionality of either being able to open multiple windows with different collections (dunno if it works on windows, it doesn't on mac at least), or an option to toggle OFF the autosave, so the program is fresh every time i start. I'd like to have different types of collections saved as a document (like the export function allows), and use that to organize different types of projects. One file with my collections for music projects, one file with my DND related projects, so on.
Currently this functionality doesnt exist. To emulate it i have to manually delete each collection manually after exporting it, which is also wayyyy more tedious than it should be, so that i can drag a different txt file in.
It would also make a lot of sense for the program. It would be like having different 'tapes'.
Very cool! Could you please add a "?" icon or an "F1" key for help, like in other Windows software? Can I suggest something? When we put a new TXT file in Tape.exe, the application could offer the option to "merge" collections (with an already loaded collection) or "change" collections (delete already loaded collections). This way, we could have several parallel projects going on without changing the simplicity of the application.
Hi! Is there a way to add more states to the list? I've changed their names to 0-25-50-75-90 and I wish I could add a sixth state for "done" instead of removing one of the listed numbers. Otherwise I'm really enjoying the tool so far
I think a great feature would be to change the status names (instead of submitted, approved, etc). Is there any way of going about this as of right now?
Probably the only to-do list that works for me. wish i could have a version on my phone, lol. but seriously, i love TAPE so much for its simple yet cute design. It's easy to use and keeps my adhd brain out of paralysis because i have already labeled the tasks with colours.
A great tool as an offline alternative to Trello and other organisation tools. I've been using this and I love the simple and compact layout, fast loading speed, and ability to customise the theme.
Honestly? Beyond professional projects, this has helped me IMMENSELY with managing my chores and daily tasks around the house or for major life stuff. I recommend this for anyone else who has ADHD - especially when you consider the notification-bubble like thing on the dock icon so the tasks at hand aren’t fully “out of sight, out of mind” even when the main window is hidden behind other programs.
Love using this, I'm wondering if the Graph functions are meant to be this clunky? (it's the only part im having issues with) Some of the functions like ctrl+click don't seem to be working...
Hey there! I still love tape and use it for organizing larger projects. I’m on Linux and use the AppImage, and when you open it you have the option to “integrate” the AppImage into your system (it adds an entry in your launcher, etc.). However, the icon for this is blank – would it be possible to get a copy of the icon in SVG, png, or whatever is most convenient?
Also, I made a theme for it that I really like. I’m including the link here in case anyone else wants to give it a try: frzn.dev/~amr/images/donut.svg
I inspected the webpage and found the Tape favicon they use for this site. https://img.itch.zone/aW1nLzcwMzkxNTMuanBn/32x32%23/VUUzQf just add ".jpg" at the end of the url. If that's not good enough, you can always screenshot the big header image and crop it to a square shape. I hope that helps.
Hi! I really love using Tape, but I have one problem with the text size increase - It doesn't increase the collection names or text saying the state of the task. It's a bit hard to read on larger 4K monitors. It also would be great to be able to adjust column widths in full window to a comfortable size (like using ctr+shift minus-plus shortcut). Thank you!
Any thoughts on making the software work online? or to sync across mutliple devices? I use my phone and tablet a lot, at it would be awesome to not only have it in an android version, but as something I can sync across the devices. Anyways, loving it so far on my PC <3
I got this working but it was a little clunky. If you use a symbolic link from the local files on device A (like in your appdata on windows) to a onedrive folder, and then do the same on device B it works. I had sync issues occasionally and it's not intuitive but it did work.
This software is amazing, even revolutionary. I really, really like it!
The only thing I'm missing is some kind of easy full-screen functionality. On Mac, it doesn't have the regular close/minimize/full screen buttons. It's kind of notable that this app doesn't, as I think it's gotta be one of the only ones I've ever seen, but if it had these it would be perfect for me.

The font size is tiny and there seems to be no way of adjusting the UI scaling (on macos at least).
Command+"+" Command+"-" changes the font size on Mac.

Very handy tool to organize things when I feel like I'm going absolutely insane with the number of things I have to get done.
It is a bit confusing at first, but after spending a couple minutes messing around and experimenting, it's pretty simple to set up.
Thank you!
